trans. title: She stands in wind from the north

the book

These are ten short stories about women from Greenland, Iceland, the Faeroe Islands and Denmark. It is about every day life, eating disorders, the loss of innocence and battling low self esteem. But it is also about hopes and dreams.

The author, Nina Kreutzmann Jørgensen, is a Greenlandic singer and songwriter, and after writing the lyrics to her newest album about these 10 women, she wanted to explore their stories further. This book was released together with her newest album, and, as the book, contains lyrics, illustrations and prose, it becomes a collage about Nordic identity and the life of ordinary women.
