Naja and Qulutannguaqs mom and dad argue often and loud – and sometimes they even hit each other. One day it goes to far and they temporarily move to a crisis center with their mother.
Amalia Lynge Pedersen has rewritten the Danish children’s book Når mor og far slår and adapted the story to Greenlandic conditions. The book encourages conversation between parent/adult and child.

 

the author

Amalia Lynge Pedersen has a master’s degree in psychology. She got the idea to write therapeutic children’s books after she read Når mor og far drikker by Anna Rosenbeck and Inger Thormann. Anaana ataatalu aalakooraangata is the first in a series of four therapeutic books for children.
