therapeutic children’s book by Amalia Lynge Pedersen, illustrated by Christian Fleischer Rex
trans. title: “Suluuk’s Grandfather Dies”
Suluuk’s grandfather dies. The family mourns, but how to talk about it? The book is a part of a series of five books meant for conversations between adult and child; as a catalyst for dialogue about the harder things in life. The four other topics are: Parents in prison, violence, mental illness and alcohol abuse.
Amalia Lynge Pedersen has a master’s degree in psychology. She got the idea to write therapeutic children’s books for children in Greenland after she read Når mor og far drikker by Anna Rosenbeck and Inger Thormann.
